Mid Cities Fine Artists Shining Star 2011 is
Cindy Flint

Cindy started painting twelve years ago after almost going crazy taking care of a two year old after deciding to be a stay-at-home mom.
Cindy has been a member of Mid Cities Fine Artists since 2001 and has served on the board of directors in various job positions. She is our retiring Treasurer from 2008—2011. She devotes many hours to our Annual Open Judged Art Show by helping with the registration process, hauling and storing our easels and screens, plus many, many other things. She is always there to help with the Members Only Judged Art Show. Cindy has developed a relationship with the restaurant where we have our Holiday Party and reserves the space each year. Cindy promotes Mid Cities Fine Artists with a friendly and positive attitude.
Cindy is a wonderful friend to Mid Cities Fine Artists and we are very fortunate to have her as a member.
We applaud you, Cindy!
Shining Star
One of the many advantages of living in Fort Worth and the surrounding Tarrant County cities is the abundance of energetic volunteers who give so freely of their time and resources to enrich lives and make a difference in the community.
Many ladies with “hearts as big as Texas” volunteer with their friends to raise charitable dollars and support artistic and civic endeavors throughout the county.
It was in recognition of this dedication that The Arts League (a fund raising arm of ARTSNET) established a program to honor outstanding women volunteers in North Tarrant County whose extraordinary vision and selfless giving stood out in the hearts and minds of their peers.
Since 1996, The Arts League has held an annual luncheon to recognize outstanding women volunteers nominated by their local organizations as their “Shining Stars”.
